Three years after she was taken by the Seattle Storm in the second round of the 2008 Draft, Allie Quigley made her way to the Storm's roster, this time as a free agent. After playing for three teams during the first three seasons of her career, Quigley was available when the Storm needed additional backcourt depth at midseason. Starting Aug. 1, Quigley was signed to a series of seven-day contracts that took her through the remainder of the season.

Quigley made her Storm debut a day later, playing the final minute of a win over San Antonio. With the Storm relatively healthy in the backcourt, that was the role Quigley would continue to play for the team. She never saw more than four minutes of action in any game. Still, Quigley worked hard to keep herself ready in case she was needed, putting in extra time after practice to maintain her conditioning and hone her shot.

The best outing of Quigley's season came on Aug. 25 against Tulsa. Over the last 1:23 of the game, she scored four points, knocking down a pair of free throws and scoring a layup in transition.

Quigley did see playoff action, playing four minutes in the Storm's Game 1 victory over the Phoenix Mercury.

Having Quigley on the roster did help give the Storm more balance for practices. She was able to handle both guard positions at times, allowing Head Coach Brian Agler to keep Sue Bird from being overworked in drills.

2011 Highlights:

  • Made her Storm debut on Aug. 2.
  • Scored a season-high four points against Tulsa on Aug. 25.
  • Handed out a career-high five assists in the last game of the regular season against Chicago.
  • Ranked second on the Storm with 5.2 rebounds per game.
