Free Agents in Camp

As Training Camp quickly approaches, the roster for the Sky is starting to take shape. While there are returning players that have their spots locked up, there are a few training camp invitees that are looking to make the opening day roster.

Larrissa Williams comes to camp after spending the last four years at the University of Tulsa, leading the Hurricanes in points, rebounds, and blocks during her senior season. The 6-3 forward started every game for Tulsa in 2009, and looks to secure a spot with the Sky for the upcoming season.

In the case of Kristi Cirone, being in camp with the Sky will be a homecoming of sorts. The Chicago native and Illinois State graduate brings her game back stateside after playing overseas during the last six months. The three-time Missouri Valley Conference Player of The Year has had a decorated career in the state of Illinois, and looks to continue that with the Sky.

Washington guard Sami Whitcomb enters camp after leading the Huskies in scoring, rebounding, and assists during her senior year. The California native was named Pac-10 Player of The Week twice during her senior season, and was just named to the All-Pac-10 Team for the 2009 season.

Sandora Irvin enters camp looking to rejuvenate her WNBA career. A first round pick by the Phoenix Mercury in 2005, Irvin spent two seasons with the Mercury before being traded to the San Antonio Silver Stars in 2007. After being waived in 2009, Irvin went back to her alma mater at TCU to become Director of Operations for the womens basketball program. Niece of NFL Hall of Famer Michael Irvin, the 6-3 forward still has the completive edge in her, and will look to get back into the WNBA with the Sky.

The Chicago Sky opens training camp today at Attack Athletics in Chicago, IL.
