New York, NY - May 11, 2005 - Dorothy had it right: there really is no place like home. For the New York Liberty, home is the friendly confines of Madison Square Garden. As the Liberty prepares for its home opener on May 22, a few of the players shared their fondest memories of The Garden with nyliberty.com.

For DeTrina White, her favorite memory was last year's playoffs when the Liberty defeated the defending champions, Detroit, to advance in the playoffs. "It was a game that came down to the last second!"

K.B. Sharp also fondly recalls that memorable game at The Garden: "Bethany Donaphin's last second shot to beat Detroit in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs."

Erin Thorn loves "being greeted so warmly by the Liberty fans!"

Having been in New York for six years, Becky Hammon has a few favorite memories - the 2003 All-Star Game, winning the Eastern Conference Championship and defeating Detroit in the 2004 playoffs.

For Vickie Johnson, the lone original member of the team, nothing compares to "the excitement from the fans" at The Garden.
